After reading through the comments and listening to the tracks MTM has decided to award 1st place to Dwoogie and 2nd place to TC.

Well done guys!

We've had a change of heart on the prize and decided to give away all the sample packs previously listed! So Dwoogie please choose 6 from the following (Contact alex.holmes@anthem-publishing.com with your selection) and TC can have the remaining three.

1. Carnival Drums - The Spirit Of Brazil (£78.25) - ZeroG
2. Jacked Out Future House - Joey Youngman (£39.95) - LoopMasters
3. Dubstep Plates (£19.57) - Digital Redux
4. Electrotech (£19.57) - Digital Redux
5. Jazz Drums (£48.89) - BigFishAudio
6. Retro Keyboards (£51.38, requires ilok) - UltimateSoundBank
7. 60s A Gogo (£67.53) - Ueberschall
8. Pro-Sessions Producer Series - Orchestral Brass (£68.51) - Sonic
Implants
9. Hip-Hop Philosophy (£29.31) & Hip-Hop High (£29.31) - BigFishAudio
(Further information on these sample packs can be found at
www.timespace.com)

We'd also like to put all your tracks on the cover disc of the magazine to show off the excellent work and help promote future competitions, along with the original samples so people can see how they were manipulated. If anyone wishes their track not to be included, please get in touch.

So that's it! Competition 1 is over. It was a bit of a trial run, but after a shaky start turned out pretty good. Now let's make competition 2 even better! Any suggestions on ways to improve things are welcome. To add your comments and suggestions please go here: http://www.mtmstudionet.com/forum/topics/lets-improve-sample-pack. We are going to stick with the user submitted samples and one minute track length but try and get a lot more entries - so tell your producer friends to all get involved. Let's crank the competition up to 11 and really push our production!

We will add detail to the new "StudioNet SamplePack Competition 2 - Sample Submissions" thread shortly to accept sample files which will then be used for the next competition. If we can get some submissions in the next ten days then we'll crack on straight away.

COMPETITION 1 WAS JUST A WARM-UP... NOW LET's SEE WHAT YOU CAN REALLY DO!

MTM.

Super congratulations Dwoogie!
Well done to all of us for taking part and massive thanks to the people that spent time to listen to our tracks and vote!

On a personal note I would like to give a special THANK YOU to those members that voted for my track and that had nice encouraging things to say about my track with or without voting for me.

Thank you guys, your votes and comments mean a lot to each entrant.
Hopefully next time we will get more entries and many more votes to make things even more exciting!

Hoi,

Congratulations and enjoy the sample packs! LOL!

I would also like to say thanks for putting my attempt into the Music Tech melting pot.It would be a honour to have it included in any subsequent marketing for the magazine. I consider Music Tech to be the best in Audio Production media going around at the mo'.
Thx again
