Hey there,
I've uploaded a new track on my page, it is a radio commercial of a ladies shoe collection signed by Hadiqa Kiani called "Soul Collection" http://www.soulcollections.com.pk/index.html
I captured the sound of electric guitar through a Fender tube amp using Neumann microphones, by doing both close and far micing, plugged in to Apogee's A/D converter. Adjusted the tone at the amp and guitar (before recording) to get the right sound which I was looking for. We recorded three takes of each section. For bass, we didn't have any bass amp so we directly plugged it into Apogee's in and hit record, furthur processing I did in Logic Pro 8 using Logic's own Bass Amp plugin. Drums were pre recorded, I did a little bit tone adjustment and pitch shifting during mixing.
I mix it on Mac using Logic Pro 8 and master it on WaveLab 5. My mixing approach was to make it sound like international modern rock records. I didn't make it as loud as Audioslave or Linkin Park's records because as it was for radio release and for an RnB/Pop artist which hasn't done any rock single yet, I made it sound a bit softer. But it sounds much similar to Kelly Clakson's first album though, you can compare it anytime.
Have a listen, your comments will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kashif Ejaz
