musictech special issues are not available in los angeles

even tho the musictech website indicates that the special issues, namely the reason 4 and ableton live issues, are available in borders and barnes and nobles, neither of these organizations have either one. i've already had to purchase the reason 4 off the musictech website and have paid an arm and a leg for it. it should be here in a month or so. how can these special issues be advertised as being available when they are not? no one at barnes and noble, nor borders, knows of these special issues, nor how to obtain them. then, the question is. . how can they NOT be available in los angeles?

As with everything on this site, this is a Music Tech branded product - we're nothing to do with Future Music or Computer Music. Take a look here: http://www.musictechmag.co.uk/mtm/focus where you can buy issues online. Otherwise, Music Tech Focus: Logic Pro will be in most Borders or Barnes & Noble stores.

Music Tech Focus certainly should be on sale in LA. I will get a list of stores and post it here. Meantime you can buy it online if you wish. Also, only the Live edition would be available right now, Reason doesn't come out till June - July in the US.

Thanks for the feedback re the Ableton Special issue. It should certainly be onsale in major bookstores in the States, although there is a lag between it becoming available in the UK and US - around 6 weeks. So, Ableton copies should be appearing in these stores imminently. The Reason issue goes onsale 5 June in the UK, so won't appear until mid July in the US. The sure way to get a copy is to order via the website - you won't have to wait for it either...
