Why is the latest edition of MTM carrying a review of Behringer's "new" Xenyx 2442FX mixer?
There's nothing new about this product at all. I bought one of the Xenyx range in mid-2006 and sold it late last year (2007). Sound on Sound reviewed the 2442FX in their June 2006 issue.
Their just may be newbies, that would maybe appreciate the choice, They may now want to look this kit over, And then again their is the fact that it may deserve a second showing, who knows.
One of the many pointless Questions and factors in time and space i reckon Comradec.
You provide some reasons why it might be worthwhile reviewing the Xenyx range, but that doesn't justify describing the product as "new", as the article does, when quite clearly it is not.
That's especially so in the music technology market where products often have a shorter lifespan than two years in any case.
The title of the article does say 'The Xenyx 2442FX is Behringer's new flagship mixer.... etc...' and probably they are right. I don't know but it could be that it is the newest from Behringer even if it was not released last month
