Setting up Serial ata hard drives, Help or advice needed please
I have finally built my new PC , but my latest problem that i have not been able to solve is, setting up 3 Serial ata hard drives. I,n my Bios it shows the 3 drives,but in windows it only shows the first 2, despite i have the Bio set to Ide/auto detect .
Is their anything i should/could look at that may help ?
my new PC:
ASUS P5B mother board,
Intel core2 Quad,
8GB DDR 2 ram, (orig... for Windows xp 64, but i have has to stick with Xp home for now , not enough compatible drivers yet for the rest of my gear, So with Xp home i get just short of 3GB ram),
3 x 250GB S ata hard drives 8mb cache,
Heatpipe Cpu Fan/cooler,
DELTA 1010LT soundcard
2 x 22" monitors.
Is their anything i should/could look at that may help ?

I think it may be the hard drive at fualt, as i switched my 3rd un-working hard drive with my 2nd working drive, and still nothing.
Time will tell once i get it replaced.
