i use ableton live 7, then i like to put it into sonar for some curves and fades and certain fx, and now after this version you here it is back in ableton for some more layering and chopping and variation/fx automation and dynamics to start with..
As for the instruments i use alls sorts of retro synth classics along with a few blends from abletons operator and simpler .
Its all about layering and piecing together as well as cutting/chopping out sounds then useing fx to blend all in. as you will here in the next update of this track i warm you up.
Example; Dupalcate or morex a track you idenify with in your song and chop it up as suits maybe drop things slightley out of time with the original and use fx to alter the dynamics and shades of the music.
its all about experimentation try a double or triple take and add a different fx to eack trark line and then see what ideas flow useing these techniques remember you can always record good ideas to another track maybe combining 1 or more sounds .
this will help save confusion then you can go back and play with these some more in the same proscess until you build up a group of soundscapes/backgrounds.
Hope this helps creativity.
Sounding okay to me.
Drum n bass is my thing at the moment overall, and this music as far as creativity goes, seems to be the best their is in way of being interesting - keeps my attention and whats more it makes for a wicked dancefloor if a dj - so good choice Ardy void.
