Listen to a few Chicago blues albums and you'll figure out why. Brass in a blues tune should more accentuate the melody line than BE the melody line - solos notwithstanding. If you recorded the track via MIDI I'd love to hear it reworked with a grand piano or blues piano patch, with some brass swells and stabs added in to add some punch to the rest of the tune.
Keep at it though - given that you seem to be coming more from a classically trained background it's going to take a while to wrap your head around contemporary music arrangement.
Cheers

Definitely keep playing - I love the Honky-tonk stylee remixed with a modern edge on JAZZY LOOP. Sometimes those symbol crashes are too loud (they stand out too much) and there seems to be some random changes to the groove (like the sudden drum fill and edit to piano solo), but generally the vibe carries the piece and I'm thinking perhaps you have a sense of humour about these things.
Good work, great skills, keep it up.
