Sample Freq Song

Hey just finished my Sample Freq effort, hope you like. I used Audacity, Reason, and Live 7 to put it all together, I tried to keep effects native, but there is some free VSTs in there too. I made the little plop lines in Audacity, ran the ReDrum through a couple of Maelstroms for some synths, and used the Drum Rack in Live to do some others, plus the bigger pad sound which is very heavily reverbed and delayed and transposed. theres a warble effect on it somewhere too. mostly the effects were t… Continue

Sorry for the delay, been preoccupied trying to finish Berklee and do more work on some new tracks for a new record. Btw, letting you know the song you dig a lot "Love Inflicted" will be released on iTunes stores worldwide beginning next Tuesday the 24th. Be sure to grab a copy and, if you can, spread the word about the song! Oh, and I'll add some to the collaborative lyrics post probably tomorrow. Dig your tunes.

I hope you find the right Mic that works best for you. I just use a Carvin mic for all my music!! I have built in Phantom power with my set up and the Mic comes with a phantom power box.

Hi,
Yeah, sure is getting weirder, amazing how much you can obtain from this sample.
I did some research into sine waves because of this, almost makes making music with anything else seem easy. Although it is a fact that you should be able to create any noise or tone you wish as everything audible is based on sine waves, at a fundamental level. Interesting stuff.

I 'll email that Reason patch.

Thanks,
Throbber.

hi Ian, thanks :) very cool songs, actually they've got a very nice lo-fi touch to my ears... I like your vocals a lot, remind me a little bit of Lou Reed somehow, in a good personal way. I love the directness of your music... cheers! stay in touch... -b

That sounds good, I'll just need all the usual stuff: time signature, key signature, chord progression, speed etc....
