Profile

How would you categorise your musical output?
New to computer music and was a drummer in a past life. Just getting back into my own music process and production and not sure where it will take me.
I don't have any grand ideas, but know that it's something I have to do.

We can't stop the music!!!
Nextstepext and more to come at www.tunefarmer.com
What are your favourite pieces of studio hardware?
II really love my Macbook Pro and the Kore Controller that I have and I really am a gear junkie that is attempting to stay moderate for now.
It's too early in the production phase to say what hardware will actually be required during my travels.
Which Digital Audio Workstation application do you use?
i am using a Pro Tools LE studio with Native Instruments Kore / Komplete 5 along with Ableton Live 7
That is the foundation of my Studio with several plugins and audio tools.
Lacie hard drives Axiom 49 controller, M-Audio BX-5 monitors, Blue mic's
What's your favourite digital instrument?
The Kore controller is my favorite right now Native Instruments has allowed me to spend hours and hours without seeing daylight or food.
Who are your musical/production influences or heroes?
My heros are the thousands of people that are working to create the next great chapter in the book of tunes.
There are so many chapters to travel in the journey of this thing we call music production.
I have been away much too long and it feels good to be back.

HI, Tunefarmer
I use Kore + Komplete 4 mostly also my Roland Varios allows me to pitch and timestretch. usually record sounds from reaktor into pro tools then mess with the audio afterwards. Ambisphere's harp-like sound is the acoustring ensemble for reaktor. Lush string sounds. Like to use Kontakt too. Also check out a vsti named Sylenth one, it,s all over my tracks. Kore gets used alot for filter sweeps and for reaktor. Can't wait to hear your music. What do you use the most?

sorry for the delay in response! summer at berklee is going by quickly, fortunately, but am taking a huge amount of credits (20 credits this semester, 22 in the fall) in order to hopefully finish by december and intern at a label in LA in january. have u thought anymore about berkleemusic courses? i need to learn pro tools for this first record (the lead single "love inflicted" is available on itunes right now) due out in september and inquired about the pro tools training course they offer. how's it going with you?

Yeh I've been looking at Logic also and still may sway that way. Getting my head around all the ins and out of a computor DAW is what's giving me the jitters but i know it's the way to go.

Take care

I have an IMac on my list of items to add to the studio.

I just added another set of Monitors to enhance the tweaking on the tunes. (8" Yamaha's )

I have been looking at Logic studio as well, but will have to get a bit further along with the tools I already have in place. I have been collecting and creating loops and am starting to create the foundation for a few tracks.

Really like to have more time for the studio. :)

Cheers and be in touch
T
