Info and crap...

Hello!

Welcome to my little page here. As you've probably guessed, I call myself Loki. I started making music back in 1995 when I found an old, woredown acoustic arch-top guitar that once belonged to my dad in the spare bedroom between loads of other crap and stuff. I started taking lessons to learn how to play that thing and soon enough I switched to an electric guitar and started playing some grunge/punk/rock.

After a while I tried making a hiphopbeat with a cassette-recorder, a cheap-ass mic, my guitar and a whistle. That sounded like total crap, so I kept on playing rock. Until one day in 1997 I bought my first computer, because I needed it for my education. Having a computer, I immediatly bought some software to start creating music on my computer. Stumbling my way through Magix Music Maker, Fasttracker, Modplugtracker and Cool Edit Pro I taught myself how to create hiphop- and triphopbeats, record and mix.

Nowadays I work with FL Studio XXL 7 and Adobe Audition, combined with my guitar, Roland Juno 106, samples and some hardware effects. And besides producing, I also do a little recording and I still play guitar in a metalband.

Discography (all independent releases on CD-R):
Loki's Probeersels (5-track solo demo)
NV - Nachtelijke Vertellingen (14-track demo of my first hiphopcrew)
X-tra Medium - The Life Of Your Average Teenage Boy (Very Best Of) (8-track demo of my first hardcore-punkband)
ÆLT - ÆLT EP (5-track EP of a studioproject I did with the singer of my second hardcore-punkband, wich you can listen to in the player here and I put up to download for free with artwork and all on http://www.aelt.tk)

Finally!

After waiting for 6 very long months, my brand new guitar came in! And she's a beaut!

So if you guys start missing me, that's because I'm playing until my fingers bleed and beyond (frustrating the neighbours as well). :)

*sigh*
How pretty she is… Continue

Loki... A used Line 6 unit cost about three or four hundred Euros. I only suggest Line 6 for Studio work. No hum or hiss. Hum and hiss is acceptable on Stage, but there is no room for it in a Recording Studio. Rock on brother...

Nice "Axe"... Line 6 has some gear that no "Guitarist" should be without... Better than a "Humming Amp" and your neigbors will never hear a sound... Your fingers and ears can bleed... You have heard of Line 6??? If not "Google"

hi ya..thanks for your response to the drum loops issue...yeah i do indeed chop up drum loops , all the time ..and re-arrange to suit, but i need more kick drums, more loops to re-arrange if you get me.
most of what i chop is house loops, and they are just annoying me !!

yeah the boys done well indeed. I like what he's doing over at columbia to. with the whole subscription idea, i'm not entirely convinced with the proposal as it is, but i can see where the guy is coming from, and potentially it could re invent the music industry.
